The new generation of the BMW 3 Series

Now in its 7th generation, the BMW 3 Series is presented in saloon and estate body versions. It is now available not only as a petrol and diesel model, but also for the first time as a plug-in hybrid. BMW is already covering its mid-range segment with the 3 Series in 2019. The smallest BMW 3 Series engine starts at 156 hp and 250 Nm with the BMW 318i. The most powerful performance level here is the M3 Competition xDrive with 510 hp at 650 Nm, all-wheel drive and an acceleration of 3.5 s from 0 - 100 km/h. Compared to the most powerful engine of the predecessor model, the latest variant of the 3-series models has almost 50 hp and torque more power. In the most powerful hybrid version, the 3 Series shows up as the 330e xDrive with a system output of 252 hp at 420 Nm. The combination of petrol engine and electric motor gives the BMW 3 Series a new dynamism and makes it more environmentally conscious as well as more fuel-efficient. Both the most powerful hybrid variant and the most powerful petrol variant are equipped with all-wheel drive for a flexible, sporty and dynamic driving experience. Overall, the BMW 3 Series has a size of 4.7 metres in length, 1.9 metres in width and 1.4 metres in height with a weight of 1900 kg - slightly heavier and wider than the BMW F30 predecessor model. Thus, it offers sufficient storage space and a great feeling of spaciousness.
